Structured records for a helper
Keep tabular information across an agent’s conversations.
Your agents → selected custom agent → Database capability
Before you begin
A compatible Mellow build with the relevant capability configured.
Enable deliberately
Turn on Database for the custom agent that needs structured storage. It is separate from conversation memory and reference collections.
Start with a small schema
Ask for a simple table with named fields and a few test records. Inspect the schema and records in the agent’s database view.
Review and export
Review mutations and export needed data before larger migrations. Observe storage limits and errors.
Controls & reference
| Control or concept | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Schema | Tables and fields the agent uses. |
| Data | Rows, including active and deleted records where available. |
| Views | Saved queries for repeatable questions. |
| Activity | Recorded database changes and runs. |
Try it with a small task
Ask a helper to keep a reading list with title, source, status and notes. Add one non-sensitive record and query it in a later conversation.
If it does not work
- The database is per-agent; another agent does not automatically share it.
- A soft-deleted row and a removed database are different operations. Review restoration options before deleting anything.
