Keep the important choices yours
Review permissions, retained data and connection identity.
Your space → Personalize / Agents & identity
Before you begin
Access to Mellow settings on your Mac.
Review permissions
Open Permissions and check the capabilities available to agents. Allow only the access needed for your work.
Choose retained data
Review Privacy and storage settings, including activity history, prompts, responses and local encryption where available.
Manage identity and access
Use Identity to review keys and storage status. Keep recovery information secure, and revoke connection access when it is no longer needed.
Controls & reference
| Control or concept | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Permissions | Review tool access and approval behavior. |
| Privacy | Control filtering and activity retention. |
| Identity | Review connection identity and credential storage status. |
| Local storage | Review encryption and history choices before deleting data. |
Try it with a small task
Inspect the permissions of one agent and remove access it does not need. Verify its next bounded task requests access if required.
If it does not work
- Permission errors: inspect the specific missing grant instead of broadly allowing everything.
- Missing history: check retention and whether content logging was disabled.
Good to know
- Local execution does not make external tools offline. Review the destination of each connected service.
- Privacy filtering is configurable and should not be treated as a guarantee that every sensitive detail is removed.
